PURPOSE: To manufacture a pattern steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance, weather resistance, and decorativeness by forming the pattern consisting of dull parts and bright parts on a work roll having a specific surface roughness under a specific condition and skin-pass rolling a cold rolled steel sheet.
CONSTITUTION: Laser beams are radiated on a surface 6 of a work roll 3 bright finished to have a surface roughness of ≤0.40μ by grinding and dull parts having plural dots containing a creater 1 and a flange 2. A dia. or a side of the dull parts and nonradiated parts should be at least 1 mm. A cold rolled and annealed steel sheet 7 is skin-pass rolled by the work roll 3 having the above patterns to form patterns consisting of crest faces 8, annular grooves 11, intermediate flat faces 9. In that case, a dot dia. D (μ) and a dot area ratio η (%) should be 10≤D≤300, 30≤η≤100, respectively.
