Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently absorb electromagnetic waves incident on a paved surface, and to prevent electromagnetic trouble due to reflected electromagnetic waves from the paved surface.
SOLUTION: When radio waves having fixed frequency radiated from a radio-wave source are projected to the paved surface 31 as the external surface of the paving structure 20, at least a part of the radio waves is converted into heat energy by carbon fiber 32 mixed into an electromagnetic-wave absorbing layer 28 and absorbed. When all radio waves are not absorbed by the electromagnetic-wave absorbing layer 28 in this case, the residual radio waves not absorbed are radiated from the inside of the electromagnetic-wave absorbing layer 28 as radiant waves R0. The phase of the radiant waves R0 is positioned in the relationship of antiphase to the phase of direct reflected waves RR directly reflected by incident waves RI incident on the layer 28 and the surface of the layer 28 in this case. Accordingly, radiant waves R0, the incident waves RI and the direct reflected waves RR are synthesized, and denied mutually.
