Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a clearance loss while increasing vibration control performance by providing a sensor detecting the displacement quantity of the payload mounted on a launch vehicle, and controlling the expansion characteristics of multiple support members to reduce the vibration of the payload based on the displacement quantity. SOLUTION: A base 3 and a fairing covering a payload 2 are provided at the tip section of a launch vehicle 1. The payload 2 is fixed to a platform 4, and a lug 4a is formed at the center of the platform 4. The platform 4 is supported on five support members 5 provided on the base 3. Base end sections of three support members 5a are fixed to the base 3, and the tip sections are fixed to the platform 4. A controller box 6 and a power supply 7 are provided on the base 3. A sensor for detecting the displacement quantity of the payload 2 is provided, and the expansion characteristics of the support members 5 are controlled to reduce the vibration of the payload 2 based on the displacement quantity.
