Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily trace a signal, to facilitate recognition of the time elapse of the signal and to shorten the debugging time by providing a source program with a trace function to trace the required signal. CONSTITUTION:With respect to the trace function, instructions of program numbers 21 and 22 are added for trace in a source program 5 generated in the PASCAL language. The instruction of the program number 22 is the trace function, and I is the number of signals to be traced and TR designates the signal to be traced. The instruction of the program number 21 indicates that the signal designated by the trace function is A. Then, the signal A is traced and results are stored in a trace area. The trace function including the signal to be traced and the number of signals to be traced is designated to the source program of a PC generated in a high level language, and the signal is traced, and results are stored in the memory and are displayed. Thus, it is unnecessary to generate or add a special program for trace.
