To provide a pedal type parking brake device to be employed even in an industrial vehicle in which a foot space is limited.
The pedal type parking brake device has a pedal arm 6 which has a brake pedal 8 on a tip thereof and is turnably supported by a pedal bracket 5 by a fulcrum pin 7, and a brake sub lever 20 which is turnably supported by the pedal bracket 5 below the fulcrum pin 7 and connected to a middle portion of the pedal arm 6 by a connection pin 21. A guide pin 18 to the pedal bracket 5 of the brake sub lever 20 is arranged in a vertically movable manner according to the turning position of the brake arm 6 in a long hole 17 extending in the vertical direction, and a brake cable 4 is connected to the guide pin 18 arranged in a vertically movable manner.
