Title:
PEELING OF ADHESIVE TAPE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0364381
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To peel off easily an adhesive tape which turns out unnecessary after being adhered to an adherend by heating the adhesive tape wherein an adhesive layer contg. a foaming agent is formed on the surface of a heat-shrinkable base material adhered to an adherend.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive tape wherein an adhesive layer contg. a foaming agent is formed on the surface of a heat-shrinkable base material adhered to an adherend is heated. The heat-shrinkable base material is heat-shrunk and the foaming agent is expanded by this heating to peel off this adhesive tape. By this heating, a number of air bubbles are formed in the adhesive layer due to foaming of the foaming agent to increase the volume but the adhesive force is lowered. On the other hand, a heat shrinking force is generated in the base material to act to decrease the dimension (the length and/or the width) but as the adhesive layer exhibits a resistant action, the heat shrinkage of the base material does not proceed smoothly and the base material shrinks while a phenomenon of deviation occurs at an interface thereof with the adhesive layer to result in wrinkling. As the result, this tape is becomes easily peelable.
