Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pellet which consists of an active ingredient unprotected against decomposition in the rumen of a ruminant, a granular active ingredient that is protected against decomposition in the rumen of a ruminant and released in the abomasum, etc., and a binder, is excellent in handleability and rearing effect and useful for animal feed, etc. CONSTITUTION: The objective pellet consists of: (A) an active ingredient such as mineral additive, that is unprotected against decomposition in the rumen of a ruminant; (B) a granular active ingredient that comprises components such as amino acids (e.g. methionine) and vitamins and is protected against decomposition in the rumen of a ruminant, however, released in the abomasum and/or intestine; and (C) a binder such as CMC(caroxymethylcellulose) or arabic gum, that is soluble or fusible and optionally crosslinkable.
