Abstract:

To provide a peptide derivative that exhibits strong analgesic action or antinociceptive property with a small dosage by oral administration, or also by subcutaneous administration, and a medicine composition comprising the peptide derivative as an active ingredient.

The peptide derivative is represented by the formula: R1N=C(R2)-AA1-AA2-AA3-AA4-Y (wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or the like; R2 is a methyl or the like; Y is hydroxy; AA1 is a tyrosine residue or the like; AA2 is a D-arginine residue or the like; AA3 is a phenylalanine residue or the like; AA4 is a γ-aminobutyric acid residue or the like) or its salt. The peptide derivative or its salt has an excellent analgesic action on various sharp pains by subcutaneous administration and by oral administration.
