Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane for PEMFC endurable to a high temperature.SOLUTION: A Nafion solution containing a propanol, a 1,2,3-triazole and a phosphoric acid are mixed and heated and reacted in an autoclave for drying a reaction solution as a membrane. Alternatively reaction is carried out for film formation without adding phosphoric acid for applying an activation process in sulfuric acid. A PEMFC using such a membrane as the electrolyte membrane is operated highly efficiently in conditions with a temperature of 100°C or higher and a low humidity, which are unable to attain a normal operation in the case of using only Nafion.
