Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cooling and insulating medium for single-phase or two- phase convection in which quality, thermodynamic and electrophysical properties are same as or similar to those of CFC 113 and a boiling-cooling vessel is not necessary to be changed in terms of its shape and size.
CONSTITUTION: Heat is transferred to or from a heat transfer medium comprising multiple isomers of perfluorohexene. The multiple isomers contain at least 80 wt.% of trans isomer of perfluoro-4-methyl-2-pentene and less than 3 wt.% of perfluoro-2-methyl-2-pentene.
