Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prolong the available period of a fragrant agent by forming a fragrant-agent filling microcapsule in such a way that the core material consisting of a fragrant agent or a material containing it is covered with wall membrane materials consisting of a material whose expansion coefficient is smaller than that of the core material.
CONSTITUTION: A fragrant agent part 3 is formed by making a core material of gelatin-gum arabic and impregnating a fragrant agent in its interior, and the outside thereof is exposed to air for hardening to form a skinlike part 1. On the outside of the skinlike part 1, wall membrane materials of an inorganic material 2 whose main component is titanium oxide is formed. The expansion coefficient of the inorganic material 2 is set to be smaller than that of the core material. Thus, when the surrounding temperature rises, the joining parts of the inorganic materials 2 break due to the difference in expansion between the core material and the inorganic materials 2, and the fragrant agent disperses.
