To provide an apparatus for performing printing onto a printing medium in a non activated form using heat activated ink being an ink composition which is stable over time.
This apparatus includes liquid ink composition for a printer characterized in that a sublimation ink is liquid ink composition. The liquid ink composition includes: finely divided sublimation dye solids present in a liquid carrier as a colloid dispersion system; and at least one kind of emulsifying enforcing agent having affinity to the sublimation dye solids and attached to or surrounding all or some of the individual particles of the dye solids. Although the emulsifying enforcing agent separates the individual dye particles from each other in the colloid dispersion system, and the emulsifying enforcing agent shields the individual dye particles, the emulsifying enforcing agent does not substantially impede the sublimation of the sublimation dye solids or transfer of an image from a substrate medium to an object. Accordingly, the emulsifying enforcing agent prevents settling of the colloid dye solids to prevent the dye solids from being separated from the liquid carrier.
