To provide the rotor of a permanent magnet electric rotating machine and a permanent magnet induction synchronous motor by which a large torque generated by permanent magnets can be obtained.
Auxiliary poles 6 are provided on a d-axis of a rotor core 1. Two central permanent magnets 2a are provided so as to make their same polarities face each other with the auxiliary poles 6 therebetween. The central permanent magnet 2a is magnetized in a circumferential direction. Main permanent magnets 2b are provided between the rotor inner diameter side end parts of the central permanent magnets 2a and a q-axis of the rotor core 1. The main permanent magnet 2b is magnetized in a radial direction. In a rotor as above described, secondary conductors may be provided on the outer circumference side of the main permanent magnets 2b to constitute a permanent magnet induction synchronous motor.
