PURPOSE: To obtain the torque of a permanent magnet rotating machine without generating an antitorque due to a magnetic repulsive force and braking due to a magnetic attractive force, by so providing its rotor permanent magnet and its stator permanent magnet as to cross their magnetic flux planes perpendicularly with each other.
CONSTITUTION: On an output shaft 1, a plurality of rectangular-parallelopiped rotor permanent magnets 10 are provided, and their magnetic fluxes are to be in the circumferential direction. On a nonmagnetic material flange 4 supported by a bracket 3, sector-column stator permanent magnets 5 are provided. The magnetic flux Φ generated from the N pole of the stator permanent magnet 5 forms a magnetic path passing through the bracket 3 and its S pole. The bracket 3 is supported by a frame 6, and is connected with a bracket 7. On a nonmagnetic material flange 8 supported by the bracket 7, sector-column stator permanent magnets 9 are provided. The magnetic flux Φ generated from the N pole of the stator permanent magnet 9 forms a magnetic path passing through the bracket 7 and its S pole. The magnetic flux Φ generated from the N pole of the rotor permanent magnet 10 forms a magnetic path passing through the frame 6 and its S pole.
