Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type eddy current reduction gear capable of rotating magnet support cylinder or a magnet support ring by a small rotational force when applying brake.
SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type eddy current reduction gear is equipped with a brake drum 7 coupled with a rotating shaft 1, a fixed guide cylinder 10 provided inside the brake drum 7 and with an inner cavity having a rectangular section, magnet support cylinders 14a, 14b axially provided in two rows in the inner cavity of the fixed guide cylinder 10, a plurality of permanent magnets 24a, 24b mounted on the outer peripheral surface of respective magnet support cylinders 14a, 14b at regular intervals in a peripheral direction and fixed so as to make the polarities differ alternately in the peripheral direction, and ferromagnetic bodies 21 provided positions facing the respective permanent magnets 24a, 24b on the outer peripheral surface of the guide cylinder 10. Magnetic flux diverting parts 21b, 21c made of ferromagnetism materials which are flat in the peripheral direction, are provided between the ferromagnetic bodies 21.
