To provide a permanent magnet type electrokinetic vibration generator capable of obtaining a wide band of vibration and a large acceleration, using a simple constitution.

In this permanent magnet type electrokinetic vibration generator, coil through-holes 6, 7 are formed vertically to cross a magnetic circuit P, with drive coils 10, 11 arranged above and below corresponding to the respective coil through-holes 6, 7; the direction of current flowing in the upper stage drive coil 10 is controlled so as to make the direction of current flowing in the lower stage drive coil 11 reverse; a drive electric power to the drive coils is thereby doubled without changing the cross-sectional area of a yoke 3; a doubled exciting force is thereby attained by the simple constitution. Furthermore, the wide band of vibration and large acceleration are also obtained by the simple constitution, in particular, to be very advantageous, when making a vibration generator compact, at low cost.
