PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic transporter capable of transferring to a pause position or reversely by simple operation by providing small weight and bulk and minimizing a loss of a magnetic leakage of a magnetic circuit.

CONSTITUTION: A stationary permanent magnet 4 having a horizontal magnetic force direction so that pole pieces 1 of number of pairs are distributed around a vertical axis 2, coupled by parts of a nonmagnetic material and adjacent two pieces 1 are opposite polarities N, S is disposed. Another permanent magnet 6 vertically magnetized so that a nonmagnetic disc 5 is mounted to rotate around the axis 2, magnet group of the pairs of the same number as that of the pieces 1 are distributed along a circumference of the disc 5 and adjacent two magnet groups are opposite polarities is engaged with the disc 5. The disc 5 mounts a horizontal plate 7 for closing a magnetic field. An operator 11 can rotatably drive the disc 5 between two angular positions of a working position and a pause position.
