Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce cogging torque without reducing torque.SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotary electric machine includes: a stator whose stator iron core is provided with an armature winding; a rotor in which a permanent magnet is embedded in a rotor iron core rotatably disposed in the stator and a plurality of magnetic pole parts is provided at an outer periphery of the rotor iron core; and a magnetic degradation part that degrades magnetic characteristics with a predetermined thickness at a whole circumference or part of the outer periphery of the rotor iron core.
