Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a magnet having an excellent magnetic characteristic and thermal stability and reduce the variation width of the magnetic characteristic caused by the variation of the age temperature when heat treatment is performed.
CONSTITUTION: A magnet has the composition expressed by the general expression: R1-aDya (Fe1-x-y-zCoxByGaz)A, where R is a rare earth element mainly composed of Nd, and 0.01≤a≤0.30, 0.03≤x≤0.10, 0.05≤y≤0.14, 0.003≤z≤0.030, 4.0≤A≤7.0. The magnet has a phase expressed by (R, Dy)5 (Ga, Co, Fe)3 in the structure without an actual laves phase. The magnet can have one or more elements (M) selected from Nb, Mo, V, W for 0.01-0.30.
