Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily improve the performance of a personal computer system at a low cost by loading a CPU board into a 1st or 2nd housing base.
CONSTITUTION: A personal computer consisting of a base housing 1A containing two floppy disk drives FDD1 32A and FDD2 32B is turned into another type of personal computer containing a hard disk with improvement of the system performance. In this case, the housing 1A is exchanged with a base housing 1B and a packaged hard disk HDD is connected to a connector via a built-in HDD interface HDD-IF and an HDD interface connector HDD-CN 42. Thus the system performance of a personal computer containing two FDDs is easily improved into another personal computer containing an HDD and an FDD.
