Abstract:
To improve the precision of collation decision and to keep sufficiently high principal permission rate and sufficiently high other person refusal rate in a personal identification device and a personal identification method for identifying an individual by collating biological information acquired from an individual with registered biological information.
The history of the past collation decision is held as collation information, and a decision threshold as the reference of decision is determined each time the collation decision is performed based on the collation information, and the collation information is updated so that a decision threshold suitable for each biological information is set.
