An image pickup part 6 picks up the image of the face of a person 3 to be identified and the image in a storage element installed in a certificate 4, and an authentication device 7 extracts biological information data from the image of the face of the person 3 to be identified, and reads the biological information data stored in the storage element from the image of the storage element, and when the biological information data extracted from the image of the face are matched with the biological information data stored in the storage element, the authentication device 7 identifies the person 3 to be identified.
