To enhance the recovery efficiency of a PET bottle while simply and inexpensively performing the regeneration thereof by cutting the recovered PET bottle into fine pieces to reduce the vol. thereof by forming a large number of grooves in the outer peripheries of a pair of rotary shafts at equal intervals and fitting the grooves mutually to form a large number of teeth.

A large number of grooves are formed in the outer peripheries of a pair of rotary shafts 1, 2 at equal intervals and fitted mutually when both rotary shafts 1, 2 are meshed with each other to form a large number of teeth. A recovered PET bottle is inserted in the gap between both rotary shafts 1, 2 from an insertion port 6 while both rotary shafts 1, 2 are rotated by a speed reducer motor 5 through a chain 11. The PET bottle is laterally cut into fine pieces by the cutters of the tooth tips of the teeth while the PET bottle is sent in the gap between the rotary shafts by the respective teeth. At this time, an adjusting screw 4 is operated to adjust the position of a slide plate 3 to adjust the lateral cutting position of the PET bottle. The cut fine pieces are forcibly scraped off by a refuse scraper 12 to be removed.
