Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phaser capable of improving actual signal detection accuracy by suppressing generation of a virtual image even in the case where multiple signals are proximate, and a phasing processing method.SOLUTION: The phaser comprises: a covariance matrix calculation part for calculating a covariance matrix on the basis of a sensor output signal indicating signals arriving at multiple sensors constituting an array; an eigenvalue decomposition processing part for separating a space into a signal subspace and a noise subspace on the basis of the covariance matrix and acquiring an eigenvector belonging to the signal subspace or the noise subspace; an azimuth estimation processing part for estimating an azimuth of arrival of the sensor output signal; and a weight calculation part for making the estimated azimuth correspondent to the eigenvector belonging to the signal subspace, and calculating an adaptive weight corresponding to each azimuth. When calculating an adaptive weight corresponding to a predetermined azimuth, the weight calculation part calculates the adaptive weight while excluding a component of an eigenvector corresponding to the predetermined azimuth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
