Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of bubbles or peeling in the stuck part between a phase difference plate and a polarizing plate film by providing a resin layer essentially consisting of a polyurethane resin or polyester resin on one surface of a uniaxially stretched film consisting of hydrophobic plastic and providing a pressure sensitive adhesive agent layer on the other surface. CONSTITUTION:This phase difference plate is constituted by providing the resin layer 2 essentially consisting of the polyurethane resin and/or polyester resin on one surface of the uniaxially stretched film consisting of the hydrophobic plastic and providing the pressure sensitive adhesive agent layer 3 on the other surface of the stretched film 1. While the pressure sensitive adhesive agent layer is provided on at least one surface in order to stick the phase difference plate to a liquid crystal cell, the higher adhesive strength is obtainable even if this adhesive layer is provided on the surface of the resin layer 2 stuck to the polarizing plate film. The generation of the bubbles, peeling, etc., between the phase difference plate and the polarizing plate is obviated in this way even under the conditions of a high temp. and high humidity.
