Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an operation method capable of speedily and certainly carrying out drainage and air replacement around a runner chamber at the time of phase modifying operation transfer and being smoothly transferred to phase modifying operation.
CONSTITUTION: High pressure air is supplied to a draft tube 4 and simultaneously, a first drain valve 11 and a second drain valve are opened and controlled after a guide vane 2 is totally closed by a phase modifying operation switching command. Additionally, an auxiliary air supply pipe 16 is arranged on an air supply pipe 6 in parallel with it, a pressure detector detects that pressure of the runner chamber 10 is lowered down to set pressure and an air supply valve 7 is closed and controlled.
