アルカリ現像性に優れ、得られる硬化物において高い耐熱性を発現させることのできるフェノール性水酸基含有樹脂、その製造方法、感光性組成物、レジスト材料、塗膜、硬化性組成物とその硬化物、及びレジスト下層膜を提供すること。下記構造式（１）（式中、Ｒ１はアルキル基、アルコキシ基又はアリール基であり、Ｒ２は水素原子、アルキル基又はアリール基であり、ｍは１〜３の整数、ｎは２〜１５の整数である。ｍが２以上の場合、複数のＲ１はそれぞれ同一でも良いし異なっていても良い。）で表される分子構造を有する化合物（Ａ）を含有することを特徴とするフェノール性水酸基含有樹脂。
