In this phosphor coating device for panels for cathode-ray tubes, a plurality of phosphor coating units 10 making up the phosphor coating processes for panels P for cathode-ray tubes are disposed in a straight conveying line between a panel carry-in position 'I' and a panel carry-out position 'O'. This device is equipped with a plurality of suspendedly traveling panel carriers 20 connected to each other and disposed above and opposite to the units 10, and a carrier moving mechanism 30 for reciprocating the panel carriers 20 to move the panels P from process to process in order, thereby making easy a modification of, or an addition to, the coating processes.
