Abstract:

To provide a polymer phosphorescent luminescent agent suitably used as an organic electroluminescent element material produced by an ink jet system and to provide a method for producing the luminescent agent and to provide a luminescent composition containing the polymer phosphorescent luminescent agent.

The phosphorescent luminescent agent comprises an orthomethallation type metal complex structural unit represented by general formula (1) [wherein N is nitrogen atom; M is di- to tetravalent metal atom; R1 and R2 are each a monovalent substituent group selected from hydrogen atom, a halogen, an alkyl group and an aryl group in the molecule; L is an organic ligand; m and n are each an inter of 1-3; p is selected from an integer of 1-4] in the molecule. The luminescent composition comprises the phosphorescent luminescent, a hole transporting polymer and an organic solvent.
