PURPOSE: To provide a novel compd. which contains several pieces of phosphorus atoms and hetero atoms and is useful for production of novel polymers and copolymers.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of, for example, formula I [R1 is H, methyl; A is formula (CH2)n ((n) is 2 to 12), formula II ((d) is 1 to 20); X is S, O; Y is S, O, if A is the formula II, X is S, Y is O; R is 1 to 20C alkyl, formula III ((p) is 3 to 12; R3 is 1 to 20C alkyl)]. The compd. of the formula I is obtd. by bringing 0.7 to 1.3 mol pentad phosphorus compd. of formula V (T is halogen) into reaction with 1 mol acrylic or methacrylic compd. of formula IV at 0 to 80°C in the presence of formed hydrogen halide and bondable basic solvent (more preferably triethylamine, etc.). The novel polymer is obtd. by bringing the compd. of formula I and ≥1 pieces of copolymerizable comonomers (e.g.; styrene, acrylonitrile, etc.), into reaction in the presence of a free radical initiator.
