Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phosphorus-containing resin which is excellent in electrical characteristics and mechanical characteristics and can realize a reduction in production cost, and also obtain a flame-retardant resin composition which contains the resin and can realize improvements in both the flame retardancy and the heat resistance of an epoxy resin without adding other processing aid and flame retardant thereto.
SOLUTION: The phosphorus-containing resin is characterized in that it has a structure represented by formula (I), obtained by the reaction of the epoxy group of an epoxy resin with the 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10- phosphoanthracene-10-oxo compound represented by formula (II).
