Abstract:
To provide a phosphorus removing method for a phosphorus-containing substance which is applicable in an industrial scale so as to effectively reduce phosphorus contained in a phosphorus-containing substance used as a main raw material or an auxiliary raw material of metal making or metal refining.SOLUTION: A phosphorus removing method from a phosphorus-containing substance is a method for nitride-removing phosphorus in a phosphorus-containing substance by reacting a phosphorus-containing substance used as a raw material for metal making or metal refining with nitrogen-containing gas, and includes reducing a total pressure PA(Pa) in the atmosphere to lower than an atmospheric pressure, heating the phosphorus-containing substance to a treatment temperature in a non-molten state, reacting the phosphorus-containing substance with the nitrogen-containing gas to produce phosphorus nitride (PN), and removing at least a part of P from the phosphorus-containing substance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
