Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new phosphatase KU-8 capable of recognizing the bond position of phosphate group of phosphorylated saccharide and carrying out dephosphorylation, to efficiently and readily obtain a 3-phosphrylated saccharide from a phosphorylated saccharide by using the enzyme and to inexpensively produce a saccharide phosphorylated only at the 6-position. SOLUTION: The phosphatase KU-8 specifically dephosphorylates a 6-bond phosphate group of 6- and 3-bond phosphate groups of a phosphorylated saccharide. A 3-phosphorylated saccharide is produced by using the enzyme. A saccharide phosphorylated at the 6-position is obtained by treating a phosphorylated saccharide with a diluted acid.
