To manufacture a photocatalyst adsorbing material capable of suppressing a deterioration in adsorbability due to the adsorbing saturation of an adsorbing material by an industrially suitable method.
The photocatalyst adsorbing material is manufactured through a process for uniformly mixing an organometal material containing an organometal compound and the porous adsorbing material having a large number of pores provided to the surface thereof, a process for supplying moisture to the uniform mixture material of the organometal material and the porous adsorbing material, a process for heating the mixture material to which moisture is supplied at a temperature within a first temperature range, and a process for heating the mixture material heated to the temperature within the first temperature range to a temperature within a second temperature range higher than the first temperature range in oxygen gas or a gas containing an oxygen element-containing gas. By this method, a film of the organometal material is formed on the surface of the porous material without lowering the adsorbing capacity possessed by the porous material.
