To provide a photocatalyst composition capable of obtaining a photocatalyst body and a functional composite body with excellent durability having a surface exhibiting control ability of wetting property (hydrophilic property and hydrophobic property) of water and/or photocatalytic activity with irradiation of light over a long period of time without requiring a complex step.
The photocatalyst composition contains a denaturated photocatalyst (A) obtained by denaturating/treating a photocatalyst particle (a) using at least one kind of denaturant compound (b) selected from the group consisting of the compounds having at least one kind of structural unit selected from the group consisting of a tri-organosilane unit, a monoxydiorganosilane unit, a dioxyorganosilane unit and a methylene fluoride (-CF2-) unit; a binder component (B) selected from a silicone-based resin and a fluorine-based resin; a binder component (C) having larger surface energy than the binder component (B); and a compatibilizing agent (D) for the binder component (B) and the binder component (C).
