Abstract:

To provide a photochromic form which attains its own required photochromic performance in high reproducibility, and hardly deteriorates its own photochromic performance even after repeating dark-coloring and achromatization, and to provide a method for producing the same.

A photochromic molded product 1 is obtained by a process wherein photochromic material powder mainly comprising silver chloride powder 2 and copper chloride powder 3 is mixed into or deposited on a plastic or glass substrate 4. The method for producing the photochromic molded product 1 includes: pulverizing a photochromic material, especially silver chloride, into a size of 20-40 μm using an ultracentrifugal grinder; mixing it with a substrate material under stirring; and then conducting an injection molding of the mixture.
