Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect liquid surface without leaving liquid on a reflection surface.
CONSTITUTION: In a photocoupler, a light emitting element 1 and a photodetector 2, a package 3 where the light emitting element 1 and the photodetector 2 are laid out in parallel and housed, and an output light guide 7 and an input light guide 8 which are laid out at the upper part of the light emitting side and at the upper part of the detector side of the light emitting element 1 and the photodetector 2 and are provided with prism-shaped reflection surfaces 4 and 5 on each upper surface and have a detection path of an object 6 to be detected between both reflection surfaces 4 and 5. Then, a protrusion 10 protruding from the upper edge part of the reflection surfaces 4 and 5 toward the upper part is provided at the output light guide 7 and the input light guide 8.
