Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a photo detector which can detect the direction of incidence of a light beam, even when the light beam is given in a limited sectional area or in plurality.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of photo detectors are arranged in a matrix to detect the direction of a light beam irradiating the photo detectors. This apparatus is provided with a cylindrical panel 3, the photo detectors 4 arranged in the matrix inside the panel 3, a reflection mirror 1 which is provided inside the photo detectors 4 with an angle of inclination to the center axis of the panel 3 while being rotatable about the center axis, a driver 2 for driving the reflection mirror 1 to rotate and an arithmetic device 5 to compute the direction of incident light based on the position of the photo detector 4 which detects the reflected light of the incident light irradiating the reflection mirror 1 and an angle of rotation of the reflection mirror from a reference position.
