To provide a photodynamic therapy (PDT) apparatus surely treating a lesion alone while preventing an injury of a living body shallow part from increase/decrease of the amount of PDT medicine accompanying with increase/decrease of blood flow amount, imposing little physical and mental burden on a patient, and exerting a high treatment effect, adjusting the blood flow flowing a lesion by controlling the intensity of the laser light by focusing attention on that a reduction state of the blood flow amount is different according to the intensity of laser light, in executing a photodynamic therapy; and its usage method.
This photodynamic therapy apparatus for executing the photodynamic therapy is characterized in controlling the peak intensity of the light for reducing the blood flow flowing the blood vessel in a shallow part 42 closer to the side of an illumination means 11 than the lesion 41, and treating the deep lesion 41 alone while conserving the shallow part 42.
