Title:
PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION DEVICE AND OPTICAL LOGICAL OPERATION DEVICE WITH THE USE OF IT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3137720
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to convert an optical signal into an electric signal efficiently, and to make possible compact integration suitable for mass production.
CONSTITUTION: An optical signal detecting section 2 is constituted as a light- receiving element having a PIN-type structure, and the whole external surface of the cylindrical light-receiving element works as light-receiving part. In addition, two ring-structured photo-conductive optical waveguides 3 and 4 for X signal and Y signal are provided on the external surface of the optical signal detecting section 2. When the X signal and Y signal are input in these two ring-structured photo-conductive optical waveguides 3 and 4 respectively, the input optical signals circulate through the photo-conductive optical waveguides 3 and 4, and are input in the corresponding cylindrical light-receiving part of the optical signal detecting section 2. Finally, the optical signals are detected in the forme of the sum in the optical signal detection section 2.
