Abstract:
To provide a photoelectric conversion element having superior durability, and a composition for photoelectric conversion layer formation to obtain such a photoelectric conversion element.SOLUTION: A photoelectric conversion element has a photoelectric conversion layer between a pair of electrodes. In the photoelectric conversion element, the photoelectric conversion layer contains a surface-preparation agent represented by the general formula (1) below, and semiconductor particles. General formula (1): Q-R1-X-(R2-O)n-R3. [In the formula (1), Q is a sulfanyl group, an alkylsulfanyl group or a univalent heterocyclic group having a sulfur atom, R1 is a direct coupling or an alkylene group, X is an ester bond, R2 is an alkylene group, R3 is an alkyl group, and n is 1 or a larger integer.]SELECTED DRAWING: None
