Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a reflex type photoelectric tube of such a structure as embodied in a small size, suitable for massproducing and unlikely to go into breakage, while a sufficient sensitivity for incident beam of light is maintained.
CONSTITUTION: One of the sides of a metallic valve 11 is blocked with a light receiving face plate 12 made of a glass material which transmits light, while a metal stem 13 is resistance welded to the other side. The inside of this metal vessel is evacuated through an air exhaust pipe 14 which is made of metal. This metallic valve 11, metal stem 13, and exhaust pipe 14 are connected together electrically. A photoelectric surface 15 is installed as confronting the light receiving face plate 12 in such a way as fixed inside of the vessel by four cathode takeout wires 16, which are secured to the metal stem 13 by a tapered hermetic glass 17.
