Abstract:
To produce a supporting body excellent in adhesiveness of undercoat and having low heat shrinkage by using an arom. polymer having a specified index of double refraction.
This supporting body has an index of double refraction of 0-0.05, preferably 0.00001-0.02, the amt. of heat required to melt crystals contained in the supporting body is preferably 0-5J/g and the glass transition temp. of the supporting body is preferably 150-250°C. The supporting body is practically made of polycarbonate, polyarylate or polyether sulfone and preferably has a gelatin-contg. undercoat layer of 0.01-5μm thickness on at least one side. Satisfactory adhesion of an emulsion layer to the supporting body is ensured and heat shrinkage can be reduced.
