Abstract:
PURPOSE: To absorb a soln. with a photographic film without increasing the amt. of material washed out of the film and to rapidly dry the photographic element by coating a substrate with a specified layer.
CONSTITUTION: This photographic element consists of a substrate and at least one layer coating the substrate. The layer comprises the hydrophilic colloid, 0.0001-0.020g per g hydrophilic colloid of branched-chain polysaccharides, 0.001-0.3g per g hydrophilic colloid of polyacrylamide and at least 0.05-0.8g per g hydrophilic cooloid of the mixture of 1-99wt.% polyvinylidene chloride and 1-99wt.% polyacrylate or 0.05-0.8g per g hydrophilic colloid of one of the copolymers of vinylidene chloride and acrylate.
