Title:
PHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000029188
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To give good dye hue and to prevent significant diffusion of the dye from photographic layers in the photographic process by incorporating a supporting body which carries a silver halide emulsion and a specified high boiling point solvent.

This photographic element contains a supporting body which carries at least one kind of silver halide emulsion and at least one kind of high boiling point solvent expressed by the formula. In the formula, m is 0 or 1 or 2, R1 is independently selected ≤4C alkyl group, n is 2 to 5, R2 and R3 may be same or different and are independently hydrogen or ≤4C alkyl groups, p is 0 to 3, R4 is a methyl group or ethyl group, the total number of carbon atoms in R1, R2, R3, R4 is 3 to 7. The high boiling point solvent is designed to have properly high polarity and polarization degree. When the solvent has high polarity and polarization degree, it can accelerate dissolution of dispersible high polarity photographic additives such as couplers and dyes.
