Abstract:

To surely discriminate the applicable kind of photographic film(color, reversal and monochromatic), a form (number of sheets to be photographed and sensitivity) and a state (unphotographed/photographed, undeveloped/ developed) by selecting an optimum sensor and arranging the sensor at an optimum position in accordance with a detection purpose.

Near the entrance of a carrying path 400, a mechanical sensor for surely detecting only the presence or absence of a negative film is arranged, next, the undeveloped negative film is detected by an infrared sensor 420 free from fogging, besides, after confirming that the carried negative film is other than the undeveloped negative film, the developed negative film is detected by visible light sensors 422 and 424, so that such the failures are eliminated that the undeveloped negative film is erroneously fogged and also the developed negative film is judged as the undeveloped film and a developing processing is applied on the developed film.
