The photographing recorder such as the digital camera 10 is provided with: an imaging means (imaging section) 2 that picks up an object image; a display means (display section) 5 placed to a rear side of the photographing recorder main body; a connection means (connection member) 7 that turnably connects the display means to the recorder main body; a prescribed light source 3; and an image forming means (image forming section) 4 that reflects or transmits a light emitted from the light source to form an image on the basis of an output of the imaging section onto the display section.
