To provide a photogravure press which can automatically and stably perform registration in additional printing, an additional printing registration controller, and an additional printing method.
This photogravure press employing a sectional system is equipped with: a leading printing unit fitted with a gravure cylinder which does not actually do printing; a registration detecting means for acquiring the amount of misregistration by arranging a first printing unit, fitted with a gravure cylinder actually doing the printing, on its downstream side, and by detecting a register mark precedently printed on a web and a register mark printed on the web in the first printing unit; a control computing means for computing the amount of correction of a rotational speed ratio, so that the amount of the misregistration of the correction can become small; and a rotation operating means for correcting the rotational speed ratio of the gravure cylinder in the leading printing unit on the basis of the amount of the correction. The additional printing registration controller and the additional printing method are used for the gravure press.
