Title:
PHOTOSENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63223661
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive body having high charge transfer characteristic, electrifiability, and sufficient surface potential even if a film thickness of carbon film used therein is small, by using a carbon film comprising a film of amorphous carbon contg. H for a charge transfer layer wherein a ratio of the number of carbon atoms having an unsaturated bond to the number of carbon atoms having no unsatd. bond in the chemical structure of the amorphous carbon film is specified.

CONSTITUTION: A charge transfer layer 2 comprises an amorphous carbon film, and the chemical structure of the carbon film is defined by a ratio of number N1 of the carbon atoms having unsatd. bond to the number N2 of carbon atoms having no unsatd. bond being 0.3:1W2:1. By this constitution, the specific resistance of the film is increased to ≥1011Ω.cm, and the mobility of carrier is elevated to ≥10-7cm2/V°sec. Thus, satisfactory charge transfer performance is realized, and a thin film photosensitive body which has not been realized with a-Si photosensitive body is obtd.
