Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polycarbonate polymer and a method for using the polymer in a photosensitive composition and a tape.
SOLUTION: This polycarbonate polymer comprises a polymer containing a repeating unit of formula (IV). This photosensitive composition comprises a mixture of (a) a finely divided particle of an inorganic solid selected from a ceramic, a metal, a metal oxide and a metal alloy and (b) a finely divided particle of an inorganic binder, which has 550-825°C glass transition temperature and ≤10 m2/g ratio of surface area/weight and is composed of at least 95 wt.% of a particle having 1-10 μm, dispersed into an organic vehicle. The organic vehicle comprises (c) the polymer, (b) a photoinitiator and (e) an organic medium. When the organic medium is removed from the composition, the composition is useful as a tape. The polymer in the composition can be substituted with a polycarbonate obtained from 5-carbomethoxy-5-methyl-1,3-dioxin-2-one.
